Honest review - very good lamb curry 10/10 happy hour Friday good prices (oysters $1.5 and some cocktails/drinks $7), appetizers platter taste meh 6/10, khaw kai noodles (like pad see ew) 6/10 (note to chef-add side of lime slice) Serving size of entrees is good, I noticed the staff is weird -- they asked a table of 3 to get up and move after they were seated, we felt like they were rushing us (they close at 9pm), waiters are a bit expressionless

Had a great time at happy hour! The meatballs were my fave. Great drink specials and friendly service. The menu looked good for lunch too if you were meeting friends or grabbing a quick bite.

I recently dined at Lao Table, located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, and I was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the "Crispy Pork Belly" rice bowl, which was an absolute delight. The pork belly was perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful on the inside. The accompanying rice and vegetables were well-seasoned and complemented the dish beautifully. The ambiance of Lao Table is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for casual and more formal dining. The service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. If you're in downtown San Francisco and looking for a place that offers delicious and well-prepared meals, I highly recommend Lao Table.

There's typically "picture-delicious" and actually delicious foods, but LaoTable is one of the rarer restaurants that satisfyingly fulfills both - especially for southeast Asian cuisine. The interior of this restaurant is very nicely decorated, and despite a busy business lunch hour, the service was top notch. There wasn't a dish our table ordered that didn't make me want to try it after seeing it's presentation, and that's all considering reasonable prices in the SoMa area too! Also...the Thai tea...just look at it - it's beautiful

Came here for a team lunch and was not disappointed! We had a reservation at 1:15 PM so it was pretty empty when we arrived but there were still a few patrons in the restaurant. We were greeted when we arrived and seated immediately. Our server was kind and answered any questions we had about the menu and was able to recommend some dishes for us. We ordered the fresh spring rolls and chicken satay for the table and I ordered the "Khaw Kai" Noodles, which was recommended to us, and Thai iced tea. For dessert we ordered a mango sticky rice with shaved ice that I believe is seasonal. The noodles did not stick together and eat bite was flavorful. (I did not like the house Sriracha sauce however please note than I am not a fan of regular Sriracha, so this is just my personal opinion. If you normally don't like Sriracha don't think that just because it's their house version you will like it.) The mango shaved ice and sticky rice was so good! Only thing is that the ice was pretty packed, so when taking spoonfuls it would fall onto the table even though we tried to be careful. One thing to note is that you might not be able to make substitutions. My coworker ordered the salmon steak wanting to sub string beans for eggplant due to her diet and they said no, so she just ordered without string beans. They also brought out coconut ice cream with a candle for my birthday, which was a nice surprise! Would come back to dine again (:

Just look at the photos, as bright and colorful as its flavors! We started with the chicken satay, and it was cooked perfectly. Nothing like some I've had that are super dry, and the peanut sauce was a great mix of sweet and salty. I love pad see ew, but I think the rice with egg took it home. Flavor was better, and egg was cooked nicely. I would recommend this spot and hopefully go back if I'm around the area.

Everything was super delicious! The spicy food is also actually spicy - loved my spicy Thai chicken rice plate! The portions are so hefty they're definitely big enough to share between two people or for one very hungry person. The ambiance is so nice and the restaurant is always bustling during lunch hours. I ordered the spring rolls and papaya salad for appetizers, and the hot ginger tea for my drink. Everything was beyond delicious! Definitely a worth trying type of spot if you're in the area. Perfect for large groups too! Service was consistently good, especially for my group of 5 on a busy Thursday lunch hour. I'd definitely stop by to try their other dishes!
